time studies

This collection of images is part of a larger exploration of temporality, or more specifically, the longitudinal experience of time captured and recorded geologically on a single light-sensitive negative. Alternating between medium and large format cameras, and informed by cumbersome equipment, the process forces me to move deliberately and see intentionally. With exposures ranging from three to sixteen minutes, the resulting photographs present a period of duration that cannot be perceived in the blink of an eye.
